We spent our day in the school, so half of our group woke up at 7 and went to the school while the other half went later. This school is a really special one Students enjoyed it and they weren’t afraid of using English, because it has a wide range of technical fields. We visited the mechanical course, than the one about fashion. We were impressed and it was a pleasure to see how the clothes are made. Then we started to show to the students the activities that we made the days before, these were based on topic non-formal learning and ICT. We divided in three groups and everybody went their classes. We tried to do our best and I think that we did it. It was a good experience for each of us. After school we eat our lunch at home and started our afternoon activities. It was the most emotional one what we had since we are here. Everybody had their opportunity to say something about these 12 days and all of them were touchable so it was really emotional. I loved this afternoon. It is already hard to saying goodbye. I think there won’t be enough tissues for tomorrow. But still each of us learned something which made our journey unforgettable, and we will always remember this positive vibe what we had here.

Well, nothing special happened this day. It was just a Sunday in Italy. We could have some rest fortunately because after these days everybody was tired and exhausted and we'll have an important task on Monday so that was the perfect time for us. After breakfast we cleaned the living room so we could have our meeting with the teacher from the school. It was useful because now we know what is our task and how can we work there. Then we divided into groups and started to work on our workshops. It wasn't easy but still it worth it. In the late afternoon some of us went to the church while the other was cooking the dinner. It is almost the last night, so maybe we are tired and we have an important morning tomorrow we want to spend as much time as possible together. So that war our day. Nothing really special nothing very important but still every part of it was an unforgettable moment of our journey.
Yesterday we went to Parma. The city of Parma was established by the Romans in 2nd century B.C. Parma is famous for its local foods, like ham (prosciutto) or cheese (parmiggiano). Its also a colorful city because of the paint on the buildings.
We had an oportunity to see many monuments and work of arts so there was a chance to reflect about the Parma’s heritage and Italian history. We arrived on the main train station, we walked to the city center. We had a time to make some shopping. We saw a few old churches and main cathedra. During the lunchtime we tasted local pizza’s and then we took a rest in Ducale park that was just nearby. The flashmob was organised by some groups, some groups was playing the city game where we were discovering the city. We went for Aperitivo that is the Italian tradition that you can go the have a drink and all you can eat bufet. Kasia won ten coffee’s there. Meanwhile we still work on our workshops that is going to be presented in local italian school on Monday. Keep calm and wait for next uploads! After yesterday night it wasn’t easy to wake up. We had breakfast, coffee and also the gossips helped us to start our day. In the morning we also had massage, which helped to relax and feel calm. The new task for us - and maybe the biggest challenge – is that we have to go to the school on Monday and teach kids about language. It can be our native language or English. The main idea is that they have to learn something new in a non-formal way. We devided ourselves in groups, and started to think about what should we do. Teaching and having fun at the same time is not easy, but I belive we can do it. This night will be our Spanish night, so everyone is curious about food and their culture. According to the previous nights, it will be amazing.
We finally had a morning off to take a rest after Hungarian evening with Palinka. We finished all the workshops with a lot of joy. In the evening, we had French culture night with many typical food and wine. The best part of the day was when everybody gather to read the "Gossip Box". The teamwork of the group is getting more and more bonding. We laughed, smiled, played, learned from each other new things everyday.
Sharing time, saving knowledge. The third day started with a relaxation and an energizer task. Actually, we needed this activities very much because we had a crazy night. We celebrated Magda 21th birthday so we weren’t able to wake up completely for a long time. Each one of us selected a workshop in which he/she wanted to participate. They were lead by volunteers from our group. The topics and the leaders of the workshops were the following: - "Graphology" by Cintia; - "One morning in a Catalan/Spanish CAU (dances, songs, games)" by Bernart and Edgar; - "Wild Russia" by Piotr and Karola; -"An interesting time management, which help you to reach your goals" by David; -"Arabic caligraphy" by Fatima and Khadija; - "Making a little movie together, write a script scenario.." by Gaetan; -"Small hungarian songs" by Dezso. Our day was successful and also interesting, we studied new things for example how to teach something to the others, get to know an other culture more deeply (languages, traditions, songs…) by having fun at the same time. The day was full of novelties so it’s impossibile to explain everything! :) The beautiful day in Reggio Emilia kicked off with a game for everyone to remember each other's names. We introduced ourselves with name and a hobby, then the next person had to repeat and also introduce. And together, we discussed and agreed the rules for all the exchange, split equally the group and the task for everyone. Since we are in a Youth Exchange, everything is done by ourselves. So we cooked, cleaned, and prepared all together. We had a lot of fun during work, made jokes, laughed so hard with each other. After the lunch break, the afternoon activities started with full of expectation. Also we had time to talk, wrote about our fears, expectations and contributions for the exchange. Then the final activity of the day ended with a team-building game called "Spider-web". The game was pretty insane but the team really enjoyed and capable to finish it without nobody gave up.
Today all the participants arrived. We had lunch outside the residence together and started to getting to know each other, and after we went for a tour in the historic center, to chat and get to know a little Reggio Emilia.
We rested a bit,and then the Italian group cooked dinner : pesto pasta and had some very good chats. Though everybody is quite tired but in the same time, we are really excited and looking forward to our journey. |
